Dragobi is a small village in the Valbona Valley, 5 kilometres upstream from Valbona village, and it is the last settlement before the Valbona Pass trailhead. The village sits at the base of the dramatic limestone wall of Maja e Jezereces, the highest peak in the Dinaric Alps, and the view from Dragobi looking up at that wall – a sheer kilometre of grey rock rising into the clouds – is one of the most humbling sights in the Albanian Alps. The village has a few guesthouses and a small shop, but the main reason to come is proximity to the Valbona Pass trail and the sense of being at the doorstep of something immense.
Dragobi is also the starting point for hikes to the Jezerece massif and the less-travelled routes into the heart of the Prokletije range. The village is quieter than Valbona, more remote, and slightly wilder in feel. The guesthouses are family-run, the food is homemade, and the only sound at night is the river and the occasional bark of a sheepdog.

How to Get There
From Valbona village, drive or walk 5 kilometres upstream on the unpaved road. The village is clearly visible. Guesthouses provide parking. From Bajram Curri, take a minibus to Valbona, then walk or hire a local driver.
