Erseke is a small highland town in southeastern Albania at 1,020 metres, the main settlement of the Gramos mountain region. The town is modest but the surrounding landscape is wild and beautiful: pine forests, mountain meadows, and a road that climbs to the Greek border through increasingly dramatic scenery. Erseke serves as a base for Gramos mountain hiking and exploring the remote villages of the Kolonje district.
