Mrizi i Zanave is a farm-to-table restaurant and agritourism complex in the village of Fishte that has become a destination in its own right, not just a place to eat. Founded by chef Altin Prenga, it sources every ingredient from the surrounding fields, orchards, and livestock pens you can see from your table. The menu changes daily based on what was harvested that morning, and the wine list is drawn from the vineyards visible on the hills behind the dining room. This is not a rustic roadside konak. It is a serious gastronomic operation that has been written up in international food media and draws diners from Tirana, Pristina, and beyond.
The complex includes the restaurant, a guesthouse with a handful of rooms, a farm shop selling preserves, cheese, wine, and olive oil, and the working farm itself, which you can walk through before or after your meal. The village of Fishte is in the Zadrima region of northern Albania, roughly 70 kilometres north of Tirana and 25 kilometres south of Shkoder, in a landscape of gentle hills, vineyards, and family farms.
